Licensed or certified practitioners with 10+ years of active clinical practice in holistic, integrative, or complementary health
Faculty or curriculum directors at accredited natural health or integrative medicine programs
Researchers or published authors in holistic health, functional medicine, or integrative wellness
Leaders of professional associations or wellness institutions
Genuine commitment to rigorous, ethical standards for holistic health credentialing
Timely participation in asynchronous reviews — typically two to four reviews per year
Disclosure of any conflicts of interest affecting objectivity on certification decisions
Advisory Board members may not simultaneously hold a pending ICONIC application under review
A structured, asynchronous governance model built to capture expert input without imposing unreasonable demands on members' time.
All deliberations occur through a dedicated, password-protected portal. Members receive notifications when input is requested and respond on their own schedule.
Certification standard updates and CE proposals are submitted through formal review cycles with clear deadlines — never ad hoc urgent requests.
Major changes to certification standards require documented Advisory Board input before adoption. Minority positions are formally recorded.
Once per year, a 60-minute recorded virtual session for open discussion. Attendance is optional; full recordings provided.
