Requirements

The IBC-HHS-SV™ designation recognizes practitioners who have demonstrated excellence in clinical supervision. This credential is stackable on your existing IBC-HHE™ or higher certification and requires documented experience in supervising emerging professionals in holistic health.

  • 1. Active IBC-HHE™ or Above Required Must hold and maintain active IBC-HHE™ (Tier III) or higher credential in good standing. This ensures supervisors have sufficient clinical experience and Board recognition.
  • 2. Minimum 2 Years Supervisory Experience Documented supervisory experience with at least 2 years of supervising practitioners or students. Must include contact information for supervisees for verification purposes.
  • 3. 150 Hours of Documented Clinical Supervision Minimum of 150 hours of documented clinical supervision provided to practitioners, interns, or students. Supervision log with dates, supervisee names, and session topics required.
  • 4. Supervision Methodology Statement Submit a 300-500 word statement describing your supervision philosophy, methodology, and approach to supporting professional development in holistic health practitioners.
  • 5. Two Supervisee References Provide contact information for 2 supervisees who can confirm the quality and professionalism of your supervision. Board will contact references as part of the application review.
  • 6. Application Fee One-time application fee of $345. Annual renewal fee of $245 maintains the IBC-HHS-SV™ designation alongside your primary credential renewal.
Note on Parallel Credentials: The IBC-HHS-SV™ is a parallel designation that stacks on your existing IBC-HHE™ or higher credential. It does not replace or supersede your primary credential, but adds recognized supervisory authority to your professional profile.
